Zafar Khan
CEO &
Founder
Zafar is President and CEO of Capanet Communications. Zafar brings in two decades of engineering experience and has led satellite engineering, network engineering, ground infrastructure, software analytics developments, and R&D departments. He has also managed teams for Satellite networks design, capacity planning, led contract negotiations, and various global platforms implementation. His recent experience has been with the largest commercial service providers such as Speedcast as Vice President Global Capacity Management, Panasonic Avionics Corporation as Director RF Engineering, and MTN as Vice President Systems & Space Engineering, among others. Before MTN, Zafar led an engineering company of 150+ employees in the design and manufacturing of RF systems.
Zafar holds a BSEE and MSEE with Digital Communication emphasis, and have completed course works in BSc (Honors) in Economics with Statistics and Mathematics minors.
Anthony Pego
VP Product Development
& Co-Founder
Anthony Pego is the Vice President of Product Development at Capanet Communications. With over 15 years of experience in satellite industry Pego is responsible for Capanet’s overall strategic vision and solution offering.
Previous to this role Pego was the Director of Product Management at ST Engineering iDirect and was responsible for the company’s NMS product vision and strategy. Prior to joining ST Engineering iDirect, Pego gained extensive experience managing voice, data, video and satellite networks operating across multiple industries and platforms. He held multiple roles at MTN Satellite Communications (now Global Eagle) with the most recent being Senior Director of Network Engineering where he was responsible for their corporate IT, global satellite, and global terrestrial networks.
Pego holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, concentration in Management Information Systems from Florida International University.
